Jackie's Wedding
Julie is the ModelBride stylist responsible for Jackie's pretty and natural wedding day look. Here's what Julie had to say about the bride's hair and makeup.
""Jackie wanted a pretty, natural look. Something sophisticated and not over done. My goal was to keep her makeup simple, but well defined and long lasting. Easy to duplicate, easy to wear.""
""Jackie was a dream to work with during the planning of and application on her Wedding day. A creative collaborator. She's sweet and relaxed making wedding prep seem effortless. She trusted us on site to help her enjoy a super special day, all about her, her man and their friends.""
I think the most important thing to any great face is to have a good haircut or hairstyle. Groom your brows too. A great shaped brow is what I call your 'inside frame'. Jackie had a great cut with angled wispy bangs and knew she wanted an Updo. We combined a few ideas from photographs and her choice framed her face beautifully. She looked great from every angle.""
""For makeup, we started with a clean and moisturized face. Next I applied a primer so the makeup would hold throughout the day. We used a light amount of concealer and applied it only to the inside corners of her eye.""
""I use an eyeshadow primer to help shadows adhere, and keep the colors true, applied it with an oval shadow brush. I swept the shadow from the lash line to the brow. I gave it a couple of coats.I used an angle blender brush and a moss color shadow for the crease of the lid and outer corner.""
""Whichever shadow you are using, particles will drop below the eye. To stop them staining the under eye area and making it look dirty or bruised, take a deluxe fan brush and sweep away anything that has dropped.""
""A pinky blush was brushed from the apples of her cheeks blending back along her jaw line. A few coats of black mascara and we were ready for her closeup!""
