"Consider the surface you'll be walking on," recommends Lori. "I you ceremony is outdoors, a wider heel will prevent you from sinking into the ground." Lori suggests buying the pair you love and then a second pair to change into strictly for comfort. "That sexy stilletto may look great, but it's perfectly reasonable to change into a simple ballerina style slipper during the night."

NJ Bride listed the hottest wedding and bridal trends for spring 2010.
The magazine featured the Badgley Mischka Randee Wedding Shoes saying "Chiffon flowers are hot this season." These gorgeous silk sandals have a 4" heel with a fashionable platform.
ModelBride stylists Beth and Lori created several looks for Manhattan Bride's cover model. Editors chose the version where Beth set the model's hair with a large curling iron and brushed it out for smoothness, body and a very retro, glam look.
Lori prepped the model with Prep and Prime skin from MAC Cosmetics and added foundation and powder for a clean, fresh look. She dusted a sun-kissed apricot blush from the Naturally Beautiful Beauty Box onto the apples of the model's cheeks. Finally Line and Lacquer Lips in Baby Lips Pink was applied to her lips, giving them a light, fresh appearance.
"Our model, Bailey has beautiful eyes, so I decided to make them the focal point," says Lori. "I began by applying a smoky, chestnut and cafe' colored shadow, from the Golden Girl Beauty Box onto Bailey's eye lids. Individual false lashes, eye liner and 'Mink' eye shadow bring out her eyes."
ModelBride stylists Lori Dunn and Beth Rolon worked together to create one of Manhattan Bride's featured bridal looks for its Spring/Summer 2009 issue.

ModelBride hair and makeup artist Boushelle is the talent behind this dramatic cover look for New Jersey Bride. The model's full chignon is accented with a crystal-studded ribbon headband.

The New York Times interviewed Lori Dunn about bridal beauty in 2008. Lori talked about the trend toward long flowing hair worn down, and the popularity of Hair Extensions to get the look.

Lori was interviewed for an article called "Secrets from the Makeup Pros" in the spring issue. When asked about the day-of hair and makeup, Lori recommends that you allow at least two hours for yourself and one hour for each bridesmaid - 30 minutes for hair and 30 minutes for makeup.

For makeup, Lori used smokey earth tones on Pearl's eyes and a light lip color for an elegant, yet natural effect. She completed the look with a sleek and sophisticated updo.
