With her vintage-inspired lace embellished gown and dramatic chapel length veil, Sarah fit right in at the elegant site of her ceremony and reception.

When it came to makeup Sarah wanted a polished look, but nothing that was too far from what she was used to wearing every day.

After the ceremony Sarah removed her veil to reveal her cascading curls studded with pearl hair pins.

Sarah's Wedding

The site of Sarah's wedding was the fabulously elegant Jasna Polana Club in New Jersey.

Formerly a grand private estate, Sarah seemed to fit right in with her vintage-inspired lace embellished gown and dramatic chapel length veil.

When Sarah came in for her consultation with Lori, she had a very clear idea of how she wanted to wear her hair for her wedding day - dramatically swept bangs and an updo full of big, romantic curls.

Athough Sarah's hair is about shoulder length, it is very fine so Lori arranged a custom Mini Fall Hair Extension to be dyed to match Sarah's blonde hair and give her the extra fullness she'd need for the look.

Lori got the look by gently pulling Sarah's own hair back and covering it with the "fall" that she had curled with a medium barrel curling iron.

Just before Sarah was ready to get dressed Lori pinned the longer wisps of the hair extension up, and let the rest cascade gently down. A grouping of pearl hair pins was the finishing touch scattered throughout the curls.

Sarah chose to wear a veil and she wanted that traditional, full look at the top. A comb was attached to the veil and placed carefully at the crown of Sarah's head, just in front of the updo.

After the ceremony Sarah was able to remove the comb and show off a little bit more of her hairstyle and the hair pins.

When it came to makeup Sarah wanted a polished, natural look, but nothing that was too far from what she was used to wearing every day.

Lori used shades from the Prettiest Pink Beauty Box including a shimmery pink shadow on the lids and a bone colored highlight at the brow to accentuate Sarah's blue eyes. Lori lined the eyes with a liquid liner on top and on the bottom used shadow for a soft look. The look is finished with the Baby Lips Line and Lacquer on the lips.
