Wedding Hairstyles Romantic Look
Softly swept back into a pin-curled chignon, this wedding hairstyle all about softness and romance.
Lori created this look to be a bit unstructured and easy on the drama. It pairs well with a romantic gown, and accessories that incorporate lace or silk.
Are You the Type?
This style works best with fine to medium-thick, curly or straight and your hair should be at least shoulder length to create the full bun.
If your hair falls above your shoulders but you can still pull it into a high ponytail, you can use a hair piece like our Mini-Fall Hair Extension. Simply put your own hair into a tight bun, attach the hair piece over it and continue styling.
Part and Ponytail
Our model had a natural part that is just slighly off center, but this style works with a side part as well.
Next, Lori simply pulls the hair back and pins it right about where you'd wear a high ponytail and uses a medium size curling iron on the ends of the hair. The last step is to softly pin the curls into a bun.
Lori's Secret Styling Tip
When pulling the hair back, do so gently. The front and sides should have a relaxed and easy look, not tight and sleek.
Romance or Drama
To complement the soft, romantic hairstyle, Lori placed two Silk Flower Hair Clips along the side of the updo. A small crystal tiara like the Eve Tiara Comb placed at the crown would give you a little more drama.
Lori attached a veil at that back of the head, but it can also be placed above the bun, at the crown and you'll get that tall, traditional look from your veil.
