Finding the Perfect Wedding Dress
Next to saying I Do, going to pick out your wedding dress can be one of the most exciting days of your life. With thousands of wedding dresses to choose from no matter how exciting, the task can be quite over whelming. Here are a few tips to do before to make our gown shopping more successful.
Browse: Browse the styles. Spending time looking on the internet as well as through the magazines to see what styles of wedding dresses catch your eye. While doing so think of your style. Are you more romantic, funky, traditional or modern in your style?
Dress Shapes: Certain dress shapes flatter certain body type types. Determine you your body type before zeroing in on your favorite dress.
Empire Waist Style dresses are great for a petite frame.
Time & Place: Consider your time and place of wedding. Are you getting married in the country, rooftop in the city or on the beach? Earlier weddings normally call for a more casual style dress. An 11:00 a.m. garden wedding calls for a much different style dress than a 7:00 p.m. city ceremony.
Set The Appointment Once you have found a few styles that appeal to you set the appt with your bridal boutique. Ask a close friend, sister or mom to come along. Please be careful not to ask too many of you BFF to tag along. Too many opinions can get stressful
Gown Shopping Day. Your wedding day goes so fast you have to remember to enjoy every minute of the planning. Make shopping for your bridal gown a truly special time. On your wedding day you will be wearing makeup and have your hair done, so be sure to give your hair & makeup a little extra attention.. It will not only make you feel great but you will look all the more beautiful in the wedding gowns.
Many brides know the dress the minute they put it on their body. Don't fret if that doesn't happen. I recommend trying at least one bridal gown in a style or fabric that you wouldn't normally have picked. Many times that ends up being the special one or it makes you realize how right one of the other gowns. Take some time to think about it and revisit your magazines before you take the plunge.
